Whole-genome amplification
To
complement its services, deCODE offers to DNA amplification from samples with
limited amounts of genomic material. This will allow
you to rescue samples that you otherwise would need to exclude due to
insufficient quantity without having to return to the individual for
additional sample.
deCODE uses an optimized high-throughput protocol based on the Phi29 polymerase
for amplifying DNA from:
- Small amounts of extracted genomic DNA
- Small amounts of blood
- Buccal samples
deCODE can amplify thousands of samples per week. The method has been validated for both microsatellite and SNP genotyping.
